President's Message:
Hello fellow prospectors,
I have been up to my claim and it is sure nice up there and I’m getting some gold.
We need to get assessment work done. It has to be done before September 1. Could someone check on the road to Silver City and if we can have an outing there this month?
See you at the meeting.
May the bottom of your pan turn yellow.

Vice President’ Message:
Hope everyone had a great Fourth! We're definitely looking forward to getting out into the hills and finding lots of gold. Not much to say, we'll see you at the July meeting!

Secretary’s Report:
Secretary’s Report June 13th 2006
Chuck called the meeting to order and welcomed all the visitors and new members. We had 48 people in attendance.
A motion passed to approve the minutes as printed in the May newsletter.
The rendezvous days were a big hit this year, the gold panning station was the most popular with the kids. There were 2,900 4th graders there. A question was brought up about whether a decision was made to stretch the event to 2 days next year. It wasn’t answered.
Jesse gave the treasurers report. There are 113 paid and lifetime members as of the beginning of this meeting. Al Palin said the treasurers in the past have sent out reminder postcards to members that have not paid their dues yet for the year, Jesse said that he will do that.
Ron Mackelprang is still in discussion about the claim for lease in Atlanta.
Thank you to the guest speakers from the BLM. They answered questions and left some information. If you would like to research a claim, to see if it is available, the website is www.blm.gov/lr2000.
Chuck asked if anyone is interested in an outing this weekend, the club will provide meat for a potluck. There was very little interest.
There is a GPAA outing in Salmon, July 14th, 15th, and 16th. You must be a GPAA member to participate.
Rob Forbes reported on the improvements to the Miss Lucy claim. He got a bid for $500.00 to level the road and fill in pot holes, and to clear brush and level the camping area. The motion from last months meeting was amended by Tami to spend $500.00 on these improvements. It passed.
If anyone is interested in renting the clubs equipment, contact Chuck Knapp. It is free to use the equipment, but a refundable deposit is required upon return of the equipment, if it is in the same condition as when you picked it up. In other words, you break in, you pay for it!
The drawing was held. The following people donated items:
Warren Jindrich-Disc cleaner
Warren Jindrich-2 gun locks
Chuck Knapp-sucker bottle
Buck Moore-Dry washer bucket
The meeting was adjourned.
Respectfully submitted,
Tiffany Leib, Secretary
Treasurer’s Report:
The bank account has $5,552.51. We currently have 126 members. I will be sending out reminder letters to unpaid members after the next meeting. I am currently processing a bunch of memberships, if you have not received your cards by the next meeting please let me know.
Submitted: Jesse Leib, Treasurer

Please support a business that provides the club a lot of support, the Gold Bar Mining Company in Idaho City. They have minerals, gold jewelry, fossils, gold nuggets, custom faceting, and are an authorized Minelab dealer. Their address is 101 Montgomery Street in Idaho City, and their phone is 392-4597. Be sure and stop by and say "hi" next time you're in Idaho City.
