Tami Palin called the meeting to order and welcomed guests.

Treasure’s report - $4187.50. There are more new membership dues that have not been deposited yet.

Old Business - Reminder of June outing at China Wine Cup claim near Pioneerville and Miss Lucy Claim, Sat., June 16th. It was decided to have this outing be a training outing with people instructing on use of a gold pan, sluice box, dredge and high banker.

John Cameron has a high banker that belongs to the club.

Both club dredges need carburetor work.

New Business - Members are again reminded that federal law prohibits smoking on school property. This includes in your car in the parking lot. Please, adhere to this so we do not lose being able to have our meetings at Borah High.

Jim Jenks and Duane ? Volunteered to mark China Wine Cup and Paymaster Golden Rule Claims.

We need to make sure paperwork on claims is complete.

Rocky Bar is for sale. Rumors of $250,000 being offered.

Claims near Atlanta and Featherville may be available.

Tami and Al Palin will donate a table for use at Pioneerville claims.

Chuck Knapp has gold and silver for sale. He also has picks for sale.

It was suggested and agreed on that the club should spring for some better gold for next year’s Kids Rendezvous Days so that each kid gets at least a little gold in his/her pan

Jim Jenks won the nugget in the drawing.

Following the drawing, there was an auction for various prospecting equipment.

Meeting was adjourned after the auction.

President’s Message

Happy Fourth of July everyone!!

We had a GREAT outing at Pioneerville last month! We had at least 20 people there, everyone found gold, and the weather was perfect. It was one of the best outings we've had for a while, and I was really happy at the turnout. Thanks, everyone, who participated in this, and particularly thanks to Lawre Buys who was gracious enough to help teach panning to some new members. Our outing in July will be to our claims in Silver City. I'm looking forward to having as many participants for this outing as we had last month.

See you at the meeting and have a happy and safe holiday.

Tami Palin, President

Editor’s note - Bryce Ostler won the drawing for the nugget at the Pioneerville outing.
