Secretary’s Report September 13th meeting minutes Welcome new members: Mike Melnik, David and Paula Gubbles, Troy and Elizabeth Rivera, and John and Gena Camera. Chuck asked if everyone received the newsletter, if not come see the treasurer, Jesse Leib, and he will figure out the problem. Jesse Leib gave the treasurers report. Chuck mentioned letting go of the bond at Miss Lucy. He said no need to keep it if we aren’t going to have equipment there working it. There was discussion of turning it into a pick and shovel claim. Bob made the point of letting the bond sit there because the money is just sitting any way, so let it sit in the bond rather than putting out the time and expense later if we decide we want it back. Al Malmstrom made a motion to renew the plan of operation and keep the bond for 2 years, it was seconded and the club passed it. Rodney Poe volunteered to take care of the paperwork. Thanks Rodney! Tami suggested we rent some equipment and fill in the holes after the highway cleanup, which is coming up October 15th. There was discussion of who to rent from but no decisions were made at this time. At Dale’s suggestion, the club decided to have breakfast at Trudy’s Kitchen after the cleanup this year because Calamity Jane isn’t able to handle our group. Rob Robison said he would be the membership coordinator. Thanks Rob! Bob said he has a 2 inch dredge for sale. Al Malmstrom has 2, 5 pound weights for a weigh belt for sale, $10.00 each. The outing this month was supposed to be at the Silver City claims but there wasn’t much interest, so Chuck said we could go to his claim. Let him know if you are interested so he can give you directions. Camping and sluicing are available. Refreshments were served and the drawing was held. The following people donated to the raffle:
The meeting was adjourned Submitted by Tiffany Leib, Secretary.
